Spelling Routine:
Tuesday:
___Write each spelling word you missed five times correctly.
___Look up 2 words from your DEAR book in the dictionary – include part of speech.
___Look up 1 word from your DEAR book in the thesaurus. Write down the synonyms and antonyms, if any.
Wednesday:
___Write 8 sentences using at least 10 spelling words – including the ones you missed in the pre-test.
Thursday:
___Write a paragraph responding to the following question from Tuck Everlasting: Are the Tucks blessed or cursed? Use at least three examples to support your argument.
Friday:
___Study for test on Friday morning. Good Luck!
WRITING CHECKLIST:
___Each sentence begins with a capital letter.
___Each sentence ends with the appropriate punctuation mark (period, question mark, exclamation point).
___I checked all punctuation marks – apostrophes, commas, colons, semicolons.
